History of the Megan company
The Megan company started its business in 1990. It was established by three partners in Kraków (Cracow, Poland) just upon the economic and political changes in Poland took place. The mutual support and understanding of its owners led to that the composition of the Board has not changed since its formation. It ensures stability and potentials to fully make use of experience gained over the years.

It ensures stability and potentials to fully make use of experience gained over the years.
Within the first years Megan operated as a general representative of Witte Molen, the Dutch manufacturer of animal food. The then-built distribution network supplied outlets with a complete range of products (often for the first time in their operation they were served comprehensively). We pioneered a path to form a broad customers’ access to an extensive selection of feeding-stuffs. What seems obvious today, that is, a chance to purchase pet products during standard shopping for house-hold products, was introduced by the Megan company in the early nineties in the last century.
In 2000, the company potential and gained experience allowed to start its own production under the Megan brand name. Our entry into the market attracted attention because, as the first company in Poland, we introduced a new way to pack feeding-stuffs into plastic buckets, which let customers see exactly what it’s inside them. At that moment the era of “blind” shopping (in cartons) came to an end. Since then our solution has been taken over by the whole industry and changed their approach to product packaging.
Since 2000, on a regular basis we have increased our product range, introducing new feeding-stuffs and changing their packaging (buckets, bags, cartons).
We started producing a complete line of products to feed wild and wintering birds in Poland – it turned out to be an important moment. Our food products have met with widespread customers’ acceptance and over the years established a leading position in this segment. A lot of our solutions, ideas and designs have been successfully copied by other companies, which proves their excellent quality.
To propagate professional feeding of our little friends, we have taken part in trade fairs since 1991. We got started at the Pet Fairs in Łódź, we were their “founding fathers”.
Since 2006 – due to the rapid development of export – we have been present at the Nurnberg Messe Interzoo, the most significant trade fairs globally. At each and every event you will find us in the same place: Hall 2, stand 622. Feel invited!!!
Since its establishment in 1990, the company has been seated in Kraków (Cracow, Poland) in a quiet street named after Kazimierz Chałupnik. In 2006 – due to our rapid development – we moved to a larger building at no. 14 (400 metres away in a straight line).
Throughout our business activity we have enlarged a circle of our cooperating Polish and foreign companies. We constantly expand our range of sold products based on customers’ suggestions. New technologies allow us to regularly improve the quality of our products. Our laboratory constantly monitors the quality of animal feeding-stuffs and our production process is run under the constant.
